Art offers something rare in adult life: time to slow down, focus, and create something just for yourself, away from screens and the hustle of everyday life. It’s not about perfection. It’s about expression, learning new skills, and discovering what you can make when you give yourself permission to experiment.

It’s hard to believe, but the fall session is right around the corner, which means, we’re introducing our new instructors joining us this session. Today, we’re excited to announce our new ballet instructor, Emily Thompson. Emily will be teaching Advanced Ballet and New to Ballet.

We encourage families to continue fostering creativity at home, where children can explore their imagination, build confidence, and create at their own pace. By making space for creativity beyond the studio, children have even more opportunities to grow, experiment, and express themselves.  

While fostering creativity through the arts like dance, theatre, music, or hands-on art can be a whole lot of fun, it can be so much more, especially when it comes to school-age children. While the arts in general can provide a number of benefits like improved fine motor skills, enhanced creativity, and emotional regulation, they can also be seen with better academic performance. In fact, according to Americans for the Arts, children who are involved in the arts have a 4x higher likelihood of being recognized for their academic achievement.

As we roll into our next session, we’re excited to announce that we have a new youth theatre production director, Kyra Cutsail. Kyra brings a wealth of experience in the performing arts, and we’re excited to see her bring her skills to create a safe, welcoming space for our theatre students to be creative and thrive.

Summer arts camps are more than a blast.
