49th Fairmount Art Exhibition Award Winners Announced
Best of Show Winner: “Flood Pants” by Judi Krew
After receiving hundreds of entries, Fairmount Center for the Arts has selected 143 artworks by Northeast Ohio artists to be showcased in the 49th Fairmount Art Exhibition. A three-person jury panel of local artists and arts professionals – Liz Maugans, Darius Steward and Brittany Selfe Paynter – reviewed each of the 340 submitted works and awarded prizes to the top works in painting, photography, graphics, 3D, fiber and watercolor. The Best of Show winner was “Flood Pants” by Judi Krew.

The Fairmount Art Exhibition is free and open to the public, viewable from Tuesday, August 5, through Thursday, August 21. Viewing hours can be found at fairmountcenter.org/fae or by calling (440) 338-3171. The free community Closing Reception will be held on Friday, August 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Fairmount Center for the Arts’ Novelty campus.
