School may be out for the week, but the creativity is just getting started!
This Spring Break, we invite campers to dive into the arts at Fairmount. Experience all the arts, from theater to music, dance, and visual arts, as campers celebrate the season of growth by exploring the theme of Bloom in an exciting and interactive environment.
We currently offer camps for two age groups, including 9-12-year-olds and 5-8-year-olds.
Here’s what your kiddo can look forward to during the camp:
Music with Abby Bush: Students will bring the “Bloom” theme to life by crafting a collaborative soundscape and composing a short piece as a group. Their finished composition will be recorded, creating a lasting keepsake for family and friends to enjoy well beyond camp.
Dance with Kate Porter: Watch your love of dance bloom through the upbeat fun of line dancing and classic country favorites. Starting with easy-to-learn steps and gradually adding more challenging techniques, students will grow in confidence while experiencing dance in an exciting new way.
Theatre with Ryan Leflar : Explore creativity in this spring inspired drama class. Spring-themed warm-up games such as “I am Tree” and “Ninja Star, Soft Kitten, Angry Chihuahua" will have students using their creativity and improvisation skills to work together and create cohesive narratives. Flourish into your creativity by learning the basics of theatrical improvisation and ensemble building.
Hands-on Art with Michaelle Marschall - Students will focus on the beauty of flowers in this multi-media art experience. Throughout the week, students will explore the week’s theme through paint, watercolor, collage, drawing, oil pastels, and more.
