Music Lesson Fee Structure

$364 for the 13 week session ($28 per half-hour lesson). Music lessons are
typically scheduled in ½ hour increments. Payment plans are available
for a 4% fee per payment.


Scholarships for financial need due to the generosity of the Ashly Whitmer

Take private (one-on-one) music lessons in voice, piano, violin, trumpet, guitar, ukulele or saxophone. Lessons are designed for ages 5 and up (age varies by instrument), and are offered for the novice through advanced player. We’re here to meet your needs!


Students participating in music lessons are welcome to perform in recitals that are presented in the winter (culminating our Fall Session) and spring (culminating our Winter/Spring Session). These recitals feature the Fairmount Center’s students and faculty and are always free and open to the community.

This Fall at The Fairmount Center…

Youth Chamber Ensemble

Learn how to rehearse and perform as a team! Students will be divided into groups of 2-5 based on level and interest. Prior music experience on the performing instrument required. Performers will learn how to sight-read efficiently, make musical decisions as a group, and lead an ensemble. Repertoire will be decided based on the students’ interest and can range from classical to pop to jazz.  Students will be placed based on instructors’ recommendation, an audition, and genre interests. The Chamber Ensemble will perform at the Fairmount Music Recital and other community events.

Placement Auditions: September 7, 2023. 6:15-7pm

Fairmount Children’s Chorus

Join us for the first season of the Fairmount Children’s Chorus!  Learn basic skills like reading music, creating simple vocal harmonies, and following a conductor while building confidence and teamwork.  Perform together as an ensemble at the Fairmount Music Recital and other community events.
