Ghost Lighters Keep Creative Spirit Alive All Year Long.
By becoming a recurring donor, you become the steady force that ensures creativity, education, and inspiration thrive within your community everyday.
A ghost light is a single bare-bulbed floor light that is left lit on stage when the theater is unoccupied. Its main purpose is for safety, to ensure no one trips or falls, but it’s also a long-standing tradition said to keep the spirits of the stage company when the theater is closed.
What is A Ghost Light?
Why is Fairmount’s Recurring Giving Program called ghost lighters?
Just like how theater ghost lights sustain the spirits of the stage, Fairmount’s Ghost Lighters sustain the spirit of creativity all year long through recurring donations!
Joining Ghost Lighters is more than just giving,
It is becoming part of a movement.
We believe the arts are essential to a full and meaningful life. Through recurring gifts, you help ensure that high-quality visual and performing arts experiences are available nearby, where they are most accessible and impactful to you and your neighbors.
While monthly giving is of greatest need, flexible schedules such as quarterly, semi-annually, and annually are also options!
All Ghost Lighters are part of our Friends of Fairmount donor community, receiving benefits commensurate with their annual giving pledge. Plus, enjoy weekly behind-the-scenes updates about how your support is helping us thrive!
Why Recurring Giving Matters
Recurring donors are the backbone of our work. Your scheduled gifts help us:
Offer affordable classes, workshops, and performances
Bring arts programming directly into schools, community centers, and underserved areas
Support local artists, teachers, and performers
Keep the lights on, the curtains up, and the paint flowing all year long
Our hyper local focus ensures that 100% of your dollars impact the community that you call home.
Ghost Lighters enable us to fund our projects with confidence and make the best long-term investments for the future.
Your consistent support will bring us closer to a world where every person has a place to express themselves and feel seen, supported, and inspired.
