New Youth Workshops at the Fairmount Center

Bookbinding Basics: Students begin their adventure in bookbinding by understanding how to make simple book structures for their own creative ideas. We’ll make several books you can easily make again at home. No experience necessary – just a desire to explore your creativity! Students are welcome to register for 1, 2, or all 3 separately. Ages 5-8, 10am-12pm Ages 8-12, 1-3pm Saturday, 2/4, 3/18, 4/1 with Stephen DeSantis

Winter Wildlife Painting: Create a beautiful bird portrait! You will be provided with a picture of a Cardinal or Robin and an 8×10 canvas. We will draw or transfer the bird shape onto the canvas and enjoy painting a delightful winter depiction of a bird on a branch, with bright red berries and a bit of snow. Ages 8-14, 10am-12pm Saturday 2/25 with Amy Shea

Creative Weaving: Choose your favorite colors in various yarn and ribbons to weave into a little piece of art. Basic techniques will be used as artists learn to use a board loom and explore their creativity. Ages 5-8, 10am-12pm Ages 8-12, 1-3pm Saturday, 3/4 with Brigitte Fiorille
