The Fairmount Center has workshops for all ages and interests! Join us for a day or two, or even up to four weeks of special classes dedicated towards specific areas of study or specific projects. Our “Sensational Saturdays” workshop series includes fitness, dance, art, theatre, education, and more!

This summer at the Fairmount Center…

Drawing Zoo Animals: Learn techniques in realism using pencil and colored pencil with this short series of zoo animal drawings. Each week will offer different image references to create a wonderful collection.

Ages 10-14 on Tuesdays from 4:30-6pm with instructor Mary Lyons, running 6/13-6/27. Sign up here.

Drawing Media: This class covered the basics of working with graphite, colored pencil, and pen and ink with instructor John Plymak. Wednesdays running 6/14-6/28. Sign up here.

Ages 12-16: 4:30-6pm

Ages 18+: 6:30-8pm

Macrame Plant Hanger: Learn the basics of Macrame knots and create a plan t hanger. All supplies included. Beginner to intermediate levels welcome. Consider pairing with the June Ceramic Technique class focused on Coil Planters! Wednesdays from 6-8pm. Ages 13-Adult. Sign up here.
