Mezzo-soprano and Master vocal technician Heidi Skok was raised in Lake County, and graduated with a BFA in Vocal Performance from Carnegie Mellon University and holds an Artist Diploma in Voice and Opera from Duquesne University through the Pittsburgh Opera Center. She is an alum of the Metropolitan Opera Young Artist Development Program, an equivalent to a Masters. Ms. Skok is known for her recital and concert performances and most recently in Opera as a mezzo. Skok has an astute and in-depth technical ability for voices through much of her own experience having sung as a soprano for twenty years and then switching to mezzo in 2006. ‘’

She helps voices making switches in range, voices struggling with problems and is highly skilled in equipping voices with technique. Heidi has singers working all over the world in major opera houses as well as on Broadway and recording. Skok is the Founder and Artistic Director of Resonanz Opera, a 501 c 3 in residence in Lake County that supports opera singers from all over the country and introduces opera to high school students, involving them in the program.
