Auditioning: From Community Theatre to Broadway (designed for actors/actresses age 12-18)
Saturday, January 25, 1-4pm
Are you ready to take your acting to the next level? Would you like to get some pointers on how to give your best audition? Are you thinking about studying theater after high school? Have you ever just wondered what it’s like to be a professional actor? If you or (one of your kids) answered “yes” to any of these questions sign up for “Auditioning: From Community Theatre to Broadway” taught by professional actors (and real-life husband and wife) Nancy McNulty and Tim McGeever .
This afternoon workshop will be divided into two sections. The first (1-3pm) will focus on audition techniques and strategies for booking the role. The second part of the workshop (3-4pm) will be a presentation focused on the lives and careers of Tim and Nancy, two actors with careers that have taken them all over the world, from the Cleveland Playhouse to Broadway; working in film, television and on stage. There will be opportunities to ask the questions you have always wanted to ask and we will have a special time to talk to all the parents about ways to support aspiring thespians too!
Parents are invited to attend the 3pm presentation for no additional fee.
