The School of Rock is proud to open its' doors to our inaugural class of adventurous young rock musicians. If you've seen the  hilarious Jack Black movie, you know how much fun rock-and-roll  can be. At this school not only will you learn about the history  of rock music, you'll learn how to make it happen from scratch!  All you need is basic knowledge of a "primary rock instrument"
(guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, vocals) and a desire to have  FUN! We will be making our own bands, writing our own  songs, and watching some great videos of rock classics in  action. If every school was like this, no one would ever want  to play hookie again!

Orchestras can only play classical music, right? WRONG! Fairmount is thrilled to present the new Fairmount Youth Pops Orchestra. Mozart  and Beethoven take a back-seat in this orchestra which will focus on  works ranging from Broadway to swing. As a member of this group  you will not only learn to expand your knowledge of musical styles and  techniques, but you'll be able to be part of the only Youth Pops  Orchestra in Ohio! You don't need to go to Severance Hall to hear  the Pops -- you can be part of one right here at the Fairmout Center!
By audition.

Pops Orchestra players will have the opportunity to study privately  as well as playing together in Fairmount Concerts throughout the year.
