2010
Production Workshop
   

The Production Workshop is geared for young people 1st through 6th grade who want to have fun exploring all the various areas involved in putting on theatrical productions. The participants will learn about acting, scenery, props, costumes, lighting and performing! Part of the day will be spent rehearsing for a production the students will present on the last Thursday evening of the session on the Hathway Brown stage!

The Production Workshop has a half day (10:00 am – 1:45 pm) or full day (10:00 am – 4:30 pm) option for children entering grades 1 – 6*.  There are two three-week sessions and one two-week session.

Registration/Audition Information
This program is open enrollment and no audition is required. You may register by completing this form and returning it to Fairmount Center.

A TYPICAL DAY FOR PRODUCTION WORKSHOP
8:30 am
Before care begins for those needing to be dropped off early. This is optional for an extra fee.

9:00 am
An additional array of classes are offered for 4th grade and up, as well as before care. These are optional for an extra fee.

10:00 am
The regular FPAC day begins.
Rehearse for the Show – for two hours in the morning, participants will rehearse for a production that they will present on the last Thursday of the session!

Noon
Training or Additional Rehearsal – this daily session will be a potpourri of classes: Improv, Acting and Dance. Some days this period may be used for additional rehearsal or tech time.

1:00 pm
Lunch – students will have time to eat their bagged lunch and socialize as well as informally perform for each other or engage in sing-alongs!

1:45 pm
The Production Workshop half day ends.

For participants who are staying a full day, additional classes in theatre, arts and crafts, dance and music will be offered, as well as some games and recreational time.

3:30 pm
Flex Time – choose between a recreational activity or an additional performing arts class each day: swimming, field sports, free time, dance class, stage makeup, stage combat, Shakespeare, Clowning, Improvisation and many, many others.

4:30 pm
The Production Workshop full day ends.

An additional array of classes are offered, as well as after care. These are optional for an extra fee.

6:00 pm
Optional classes and after care end.
