GYMNASTICS WORKSHOPS
Download the Winter 2007 Gymnastics Program Schedule
Beginning in the Fall of 2006, we have have moved the gymnastics workshops back to the Fairmount Center and reconstituted the program to offer more classes and a wider variety of opportunities for your children.
All workshops will be held in the “Gymnastics Workshop” of the Fairmount Center at the corner of Fairmount Road and Route 306 in Novelty, Ohio. The center is air conditioned and is well staffed, with lots of amenities, including air conditioning, a pastoral 5 acre lawn, and plenty of parking.
The new program will offer over 30 different classes throughout the week and on Saturdays so you should be able to select a class that best meets your busy schedules. Workshops will be held for toddlers through age 10.
We are recommending that older students take advantage of our wonderful dance program, which offers strength, endurance and coordination classes in jazz, ballet, tap and hip hop.
As always, Our Gymnastics program focuses on all the skills required to have fun, and grow as a young gymnast. Our program focuses on teaching students basic gymnastics, strength building and dance skills as well as developing their self-confidence and skills for any sport. Children learn in a progressive format that enhances their physical, cognitive and social skills.
The Gymnastics Workshosp incorporate:
- Body Conditioning and Strength Training
- Gymnastics Training on ALL events
- Games
- Outdoor Activities (Weather Permitting)
- Prizes and Special Achievement Awards
Emphasis will be placed on “polishing” and “perfecting” previously learned skills, as well as learning more advanced skills with an emphasis on trying new acrobatic skills. Also, learn “connections” of gymnastics moves, which include jumps, leaps and turns. We will also focus on building self-esteem, unity in the gym, good sportsmanship, and enhancing leadership
qualities.
No jeans, and no baggy clothes. Hair should be tied back. Children should arrive well rested, and ready for FUN and an exciting challenge!
