Megan Consolo is joining us for her second year as part of the FPAC staff. She graduated from the Capital University Conservatory of Music in 2004 with a degree in Music Industry and Media. She has served as Community Relations Coordinator at Solon Center for the Arts and has held internships with Telarc Records, the Columbus Jazz Orchestra, the Jazz Arts Group and Sugar Hill Records. In 2005 Megan went back to Capital to earn her licensure in Music Education.
Megan has served as Music Director for Honk Jr., Dear Edwina Jr., Pirates of Penzance Jr., Little Shop of Horrors, Into the Woods and Lucky Stiff at Solon Center for the Arts. She has assisted with Solon High School Drama Club productions of Footloose, The Wizard of Oz and Brigadoon. In 2005, Megan directed music for the First Unitarian Church of Cleveland’s youth production of Once Upon a Mattress. She is currently teaching vocal and general music for the Solon City Schools and is Assistant Director of the show choir Music in Motion.
Megan has been working with children through musical theater since 1998. She has earned many scholarships and awards including full tuition to the Capital Conservatory and third place in the category of musical theater at the Great Lakes Region National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition in 2004.
