CLASSES AVAILABLE BEFORE AND AFTER CAMP
(available to all students except for Creative Arts Workshop)

PRIVATE ½ HOUR LESSONS

Private Voice Lessons
For 6th grade and up
Private voice lessons are available on a limited basis before and after camp. The registration for the lessons are on a first come – first served basis and we anticipate them filling up very quickly.

Times: Half hour increments before (8:55am – 9:25am, or 9:25am – 9:55am and after (4:35pm – 5:05pm or 5:05 – 5:35pm) camp.
Fee: $25 per lesson

Private Acting Coaching
For 6th grade and up
Have an upcoming audition? Get private coaching of your monologue or song. Private acting coachingis available on a limited basis before and after camp. The registration for the lessons are on a first come – first served basis and we anticipate them filling up very quickly.

Times: Half hour increments before (8:55am – 9:25am, or 9:25am – 9:55am and after (4:35pm – 5:05pm or 5:05 – 5:35pm) camp.
Fee: $25 per lesson

ONE HOUR CLASSES
Each of the classes below will ALSO be offered occasionally during FLEX TIME. The additional classes are intended for campers who want a longer camp day and more intensive training in one of the non-core areas.

The before camp classes will be 14 or 15 sessions because there will not be class before camp on the morning of July 4. The after camp classes will be 12 or 13 sessions because there will not be class after camp on the evening of July 4, the overnight and last day.

Stage Combat & Martial Arts
4:35 – 5:30pm, $75
Each post-camp session will entail stretching, stage combat technique (movement, weaponry, striking) a mixed martial arts workout (fighting technique, falling technique, kata) and the staging of an act to be performed for the entire camp at the end of each three-week session.

Stage Makeup
9:00 – 9:55am or 4:35 – 5:30pm, $75
Learn to apply basic stage make-up, as well as age, horror, glamor and fantasy. Campers can purchase a stage make-up kit on the registration form so that it will ready for them on the first day of camp.

Dance
9:00 – 9:55am or 4:35 – 5:30pm, $75
Varying dance styles will be explored through technique classes and choreography: Broadway, ballet, modern, jazz, tap, hip-hop and others.

Shakespeare
4:35 – 5:30pm, $75
This workshop opens up a treasure chest of information about acting Shakespeare, bringing his remarkable characterizations and language in reach of the contemporary actor. Our focus is on script analysis, the analysis of speech (diction, rhythm, vocal melody, imagery), and the wealth of tips, clues and even 'stage directions' from the bard's own pen through deconstructing his verse.

Improvisation
9:00 – 9:55am or 4:35 – 5:30pm, $75
Take your improv and acting to a more advanced level. Improvisation is a vital tool in an actor's development. In this class you learn to trust your own instincts, improve your listening skills, your focus of attention, and allow moments of inspiration to carry the scene. Whether you are developing an improvisational routine or working in a classical play, improvisation is the key to unlocking your unique, creative powers.

OTHER EXTENDED DAY OPTIONS
For families who have to drop off their child by 8:30am or pick up at 6:00pm, we are offering the "extended day." Students will be in a fully supervised environment where they wll be free to prepare for the current day or next day's activities (learn lines, go over scene work, vocalize etc.), socialize and hang out. Morning and afternoon are available for a separate fee.

Fee:
Morning, 8:30am - 10:00am - $70
Afternoon, 4:30 – 6:00pm - $70

NOTE: The added cost of extended day camp or the one hour classes are not subject to the 10% discount if enrolling for both sessions.
