| What
do you offer?
The Fairmount Performing Arts Camp (FPAC) is a vibrant and exciting program
for students who have professional aspirations in theater, dance and music.
Students should have a strong desire to train and learn in a challenging
and disciplined environment.
In addition to providing top notch training by working professionals
in the region, our programs foster teamwork, discipline, commitment and
support, lessons that will resonate in all areas of our student’s
lives, long after they leave our FPAC family.
There will also be occasional outdoor activities at Laurel’s Shaker
Hts. location and it’s country location. There is one optional overnight
per session that will take place on the 2nd Friday evening.
What
is your class size?
Each class will have 15-20 students. We are committed to keeping the class
sizes small to promote individual growth and instruction.
Will the students be in separate age groups?
The students will be placed in appropriate groups according to talent,
experience and age at the sole discretion of the camp staff.
Who is on your staff?
The staff members at FPAC are highly credentialed arts professionals with
many years of experience in professional regional theatre, national Broadway
tours or resident theatre leadership. All have extensive experience working
with children, teens and adults in theatre and / or camp settings. Our
staff are chosen based on their reputation for professional excellence
and their love of working with young people.
The "faculty" are full-time. The "guest artists" will
lead one or two workshops per session. Resume's of our staff are available
off of the camp home page.
All staff are subject to change without notice.

What
are your facilities like?
Our base of operation is the beautiful Laurel School in Shaker Heights,
Ohio. The school has two campuses -- the academic campus situated on 11
acres in Shaker Heights (Lyman Circle Campus) and the Fairmount Campus,
a 140-acre campus that features extensive athletic facilities and offers
opportunities for outdoor education and leadership-building programs.
Within
the main campus there is a fully equipped theatre that seats 350, costume
shop, scene shop, dance studio, choral room along with large, windowed
spacious classrooms well suited to acting, dance and singing classes.
There is plenty of parking and the school is central to the entire east
side of Cleveland, Cuyahoga and Geauga Counties near Shaker and Green
Rd - just several minutes walk from the rapid transit line.
Laurel
School is accredited by the State of Ohio and by the Independent Schools
Association of the Central States (ISACS). It is a member of the National
Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), Ohio Association of Independent
Schools (OAIS), and the National Coalition of Girls' Schools (NCGS).
Do you offer scholarships?
Fairmount Performing Arts Camp offers a limited number of need-based scholarships
for students who want to attend, but can’t afford to. Please request
a financial aid form to apply for the scholarships. You may also want
